Mission Statement

"The Regional Transportation Advisory Committee (RTAC), comprised of representatives from the 13 South Berkshire communities, is charged with serving the residents of Southern Berkshire county about transportation, especially public transportation. The committee must represent residents' interests in county-wide and state-wide advisory functions through collaboration and recommendations. These include the Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA), Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC), the statewide RTA Advocates Coalition (RTAAC), and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). The RTAC provides an annual report to the Great Barrington Town Manager, which is distributed to the various Town Administrators of the other South County municipalities."

The Regional Transportation Advisory Committee was created by the Town Manager at the beginning of 2019.
