The Select Board’s FY26–27 Strategic Priorities Plan outlines the key areas where the Town of Great Barrington will focus its attention, resources, and efforts over the next two fiscal years. Rooted in the community’s shared values and informed by public input, Board discussion, and staff collaboration, this plan serves as a practical guide for decision-making, budget development, and day-to-day operations across Town government.

The plan is organized into six Areas of Focus, each representing a core function of local government and an essential part of community life in Great Barrington. Within each area, projects and initiatives are grouped using a tiered framework that reflects their overall significance and potential community impact. This structure helps clarify priorities, improve transparency, and ensure that time, funding, and staff capacity are directed toward the work that matters most.

By organizing priorities in this way, the Select Board aims to strengthen alignment between policy direction and implementation, support thoughtful planning, and provide a clear picture of how progress will be advanced and tracked.
