The Town of Great Barrington is hiring part-time vehicle drivers to support our community transit program. the South County Connector. The drivers will provide transit service for seniors and the general public.
The program operates Monday-Sunday 6am-9pm. Operators may work up to 19 hours per week. The typical schedule is 3 shifts per week, each approximately 6-hours long. The wage for this role is $21.75 per hour.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a valid Class D Driver's license, the ability to pass a CORI check, and a clean driving record. Candidates will also need to pass a pre-employment physical, which includes a drug and alcohol screening. Ideal candidates will have experience operating passenger vans, shuttles, or similar vehicles, and experience working with seniors or persons with disabilities.
